Rian / Ri
Hi, my name is Rian and I’m a licensed hairstylist based in Toronto. I was born in Japan, but moved to the GTA during childhood. For as long as I can remember, I always loved all things hair, beauty, and fashion. Ever since taking a cosmetology program in highschool, I knew I wanted to pursue hair professionally.
In 2018, I completed Aveda Institute’s Hairstyling Certification Program. Since then, I’ve gained the experience of working as a stylist in hair salons all over the downtown Toronto Area - namely, Lisa Dinh Hair Studio, and NC Salon.
Since 2022, I opened my own practice, Hair By Ri, operating out of RF Hair Studio in Toronto West.
About Me
When it comes to being a stylist, my goal is inspire love, confidence, and joy while in my chair. I love to get to know the real you and I aspire to create an experience where you can leave feeling good about yourself. This goal is deeply embedded in my approach to cuts, colour, and editorial work.
During my spare time, I love working on creative shoots, researching about make up and pop culture, and trying different types of food ♡.
